Correct 2024 Predictions
Each year, usually in October or November, I release my main annual predictions video for the coming year. In my 2023 forecast for 2024, I spoke about escalating Middle East conflict, deepening alliances between Russia, China and North Korea, rising cyber warfare, political upheaval in Europe, unrest in America, and a dramatic shift in global politics — including the return of Donald Trump to the centre of the US election narrative.
Over the course of 2024, we saw intensifying instability in the Middle East, continued geopolitical alignment between Russia and China, rising tensions around Taiwan, political turbulence across Europe, economic uncertainty, and growing division within Western democracies — themes that were central to my forecast. I also warned of worsening power shortages, climate-related disruptions, corruption exposures, and a stronger swing toward right-wing politics in parts of Europe.

Tensions in the Philippines involving Australian troops are a certainty. China's economy will face challenges, and political corruption will be exposed. A second revolution may unfold in China, and Russia will retain Crimea but could face a coup, potentially leading to a female president succeeding Putin. Australia might send troops to the Philippines, experience political shifts, and a Middle East conflict will be a reality.
