Religion and Spirituality
In this sub index for the site links you to some of
the religious and spiritual sections of the Psychics and
Mediums Network. The site owners advocate religious tolerance
and believe that we can learn something positive from most
spiritual and religious belief systems.
"There is only one religion,
the religion of love. There is only one language, the language
of the heart. There is only one race, the race of humanity.
There is only one God, and He is omnipresent."
Sathya Sai Baba
Spirituality
is a term that has various meanings depending upon your
belief system and cultural background. A simple definition
is "devotion to metaphysical matters, as opposed to
worldly things." Another is "Activities which
renew, lift up, comfort, heal and inspire both ourselves
and those with whom we interact." Spirituality
may include belief in supernatural powers.
In recent years, spirituality has come to mean
a personal quest for divine knowledge that is direct and
non dependent on belief in a dogma or creed. Spirituality
is a way to God that is personal, less dogmatic, open to
new ideas and pluralistic when compared to the faiths and
dogma of established religions.
Religion
is commonly defined as belief concerning the supernatural,
sacred, or divine, and the moral codes, practices and institutions
associated with such belief. Religion is an organised system
of belief that generally seeks to understand purpose, meaning,
goals, and methods of spiritual things.

RELIGION
& SPIRITUALITY SECTIONS:
TIBETAN
BUDDHISM
The author of the site has written a book called "The
Timeless Wisdom of the Tibetans". In this section you
can read some extracts and discover more about Tibetan Buddhism
and its beliefs. In particular the book relates Tibetan
Buddhism to the issues of daily life and shows how to apply
Buddhist beliefs to your day to day problems.
SPIRITUALISM
A large section of the site is devoted to Spiritualism and
mediumship. Spiritualists believe in life after death, and
that mediums can give proof of this continuation of life.
Spiritualism is a rational religion based on the proven
knowledge that man's spirit survives physical death. This
has led to a philosophical and scientific approach new to
traditional religious faith. Spiritualism invites you to
doubt, question, and "prove it" for yourself.
HINDUISM
& SAI BABA
Craig and Jane Hamilton-Parker were so impressed by the
teachings of the holy man Sai Baba that they went to India
to visit him. Read about some of his teachings as well as
the philosophy of other Hindu teachers such as Paramahansa
Yogananda and Vivekananda.
CHRISTIANITY
& OTHER RELIGIONS
Even though Jesus said why call me master? All these things
I do you can do also, many Christians still consider psychic
and mediumistic powers to be contrary to Christian beliefs.
We address some of these issues in our FAQ section.

AFTERLIFE
