What is a psychic?

Article about psychics by our chatroom helper Leslie Hall.

QuestionWhat is a psychic?

AnswerA psychic is someone who has extrasensory abilities. These may include clairvoyance, telepathy, precognition and psychokinesis. The word psychic is sometimes used as an all inclusive umbrella term to include mediumship (spirit communication) and fortune telling.

Psychic practitioners tend to give readings that are concerned with issues in a person's life such as their romantic situation, career opportunities etc. Their reading may include predictions of the future.

A mediumistic Reading is less concerned with predicting the future and life issues but has the primary purpose of proving to the sitter that there is life after death

IS HEAVEN CROWDED?

QuestionAlthough there were been several fraudulent mediums exposed earlier this century I am convinced that psychic communication is now a proven fact. There is just so much documented evidence to support this. However, where do all these spirits go? If all human, and perhaps animal, spirits have survived since the Stone Age then heaven must be very overcrowded. I think the Hindu's have it right. We reincarnate over many lives and the number of spirits is therefore limited. What do you think?

AnswerI believe that in the afterlife there are worlds beyond worlds. The human spirit continues to evolve into ever higher spiritual planes that exist outside space and time. There is an eternal progress that is open to every sentient being. However, I also believe that at the early stages of the soul's evolution we reincarnate. We spend some time in the afterlife then return here to learn more from earthly life.
