Do we reincarnate?
I can only answer your question from the knowledge that I
have as a professional hypnotherapy. I work a lot with
people who wish to enter the hypnotic state to view perceived
possible past lives.
I always put the process in those terms because the process
of regression is subjective; by this I mean that what is
contained within your subconscious belongs entirely to you
as an individual and the experience of regressing during
hypnosis to a possible past life comes entirely from your
subconscious mind. In essence you own it, nobody else, so
only you can determine for yourself what is contained within
you.
At the risk of being shot down in flames IMHO nobody can
give you absolute proof that you have lived before or, if
you feel that you have, who you were.
However, some of the experiences and information that I have
gleaned from clients during regression sessions do yield names,
dates, places, addresses, characteristics, events and all
manner of information that I record for them so that (if they
wish) they can investigate further to establish any factual
historic information for themselves to substantiate their
experience.
Reincarnation
and negative past lives
I have to say that in my experience so far, the majority
of people who wish to be regressed do so because they feel
that the issues in life MUST have been caused by something
very negative in a previous possible existence as they find
it very challenging to honestly look at the cause and effect
factor in THIS life.
However, I think it is important to understand that by and
large the vast majority of people lead extremely good lives
(perceived past and present) and therefore to consider that
we must have done something bad in a former life suggests
that we undermine our sense of worth in this one; which really
could be the issue at hand.
Past lives is a fascinating
subject as we delve more and more into what our subconscious
actually contains about us as an individual - whether that
be our suppressed way of handling our negative emotions
and experiences or
indeed an actual previous existence.
It is a sensitive issue too and not to be entered into lightly
or by untrained hands - that is a word of caution I put only
as a professional person who deals with sensitive and highly
emotional people on a daily
basis.
IMHO (and I think I have posted similar to this under Windance's
questions about Divine Grace) it is THIS life we do not pay
enough attention to and that we do not try and understand
and get to grips with.
Reincarnation
and your present life
The majority of people that I have facilitated past life
regressions for bring out emotions and feelings very relevant
to their current life events that they have chosen to suppress.
Therefore on a psychological level the process is useful for
them to look at those feelings safely and to seek the additional
support in the here and now that they require.
I hope that this makes some sense and does not put you off
exploring the essence of you further as that is not my intention.
If you want to try past life regression then all I would say
is make sure you go through the process with someone who is
qualified and professional who is willing to firstly build
a relationship with you to understand your need to explore
self further. That way you will gain the best possible positive
and safe experience. And don't you deserve that? |
