Is
it necessary to believe in God to communicate with Spirit?
 The
word God is a man made word and therefore it is not necessary
to believe in the word God. Spiritualists believe that the
creative force, that from which we all came, is God or the
God force. It is from this belief that their first Principle
was given "The Fatherhood of God". Other than
this Spiritualists have the freedom to perceive God in whichever
way they wish.
This God force
is within us all and all things within the universe, to
deny that this creative force is not within us is to deny
the very act of creation.
The creation
can be viewed in many ways but if we look at it as beginning
and prior to that there was nothing then all that came after
must have come from that initial spark how ever we see it.
Many people see
spirit those who are religious those who are not and the
same for those who are completely indifferent. So it is
not necessary to believe in religion or God to see or believe
in spirit. There are many cases throughout history where
the most unlikely people have seen spirit, including Sister
Bernadette from Lourdes, Joan D' Arc and many more all received
inspiration from spirit.

Again Spiritualist's
believe that religion is to serve "God" by serving
each other not just Spiritualists but by treating all men
as equal and the same.
The definition
of religion is belief and faith so to deny religion means
to deny your beliefs whatever they might be. It also means
that you distance yourself from faith not only in yourself
but others. Religion is that which makes you go out into
the world and give service where ever you can. Religion
is service and service is religion.
The reason so
many people have difficulty with God and religion is because
they look at it in a conventional way which over the years
has been clouded by the misdeeds of the leaders of the worlds
foremost religions. They also ask that if God does exist
why does he let so much bad happen in the world in particular
to children?
We have to accept
if we believe in spirit and an after life that we are on
a pathway of learning and that before we chose to come to
the Earth we picked our pathway and actually know that this
is what we wanted to experience though we are not aware
of it until we return to the World of Spirit.
