BISCUITS
AND CHEESE
I have a Siamese
cat called 'biscuits' and I'm sure that he's psychic.
Like many pets he miraculously
appears
at the doorstep the moment I arrive home from
work. Even when I arrive early or late he still
seems to know in advance that I'm about to arrive.
My son, who lives with me, has noticed that biscuits
will jump up on the windowsill and look for me
if I telephone to say that I'm on my way home.
Biscuits' favourite
food is cheese. If he knows that cheese is in the
refrigerator he'll try and open the door. I only
need to think about cheese and he'll jump up onto
my lap so I tried a little psychic
experiment with him. Instead of calling him I just
thought about a great big piece of cheese and 'hey
presto!' biscuits started brushing against my legs.
I work at a veterinary
surgery and have noticed that many other pets seem
to know what their owner is thinking. The saddest
instances are when it's decided that a terminally
ill pet has to be put to sleep. Sometimes when the
vet advises euthanasia we've seen an immediate reaction
by the animal concerned. Some seem to look morose
and others react more aggressively.

The
cases you have described suggest that there is a
telepathic link between humans and animals. Many
psychics believe that this intuitive bond of love
creates a sense of identity within the creatures
in our care and so quickens their spiritual evolution.
Some Indian gurus say that by loving animals we
give them the opportunity to take human form in
future incarnations.
