Hi everyone, I am new to this type of thing but wanted to run something past you all to see if this can really happen. Can your future spirit haunt your present life? Sounds like a silly question, but my brother met someone and moved in with her. Her house was dark and cold and spooky things started to happen. He started to see visions of an old lady, but is certain that the old lady was his present girlfriend as an old lady. Do this happen?

This cannot be spirit as such. Maybe he just had an image of what she would be like as an older person. This is more like precognition. If he doesn't like the atmosphere in the house then positively try to change it. Paint some bright colours and play light music. Atmospheres are often more to do with the occupants present state of mind.

Thank you for your reply AMP. I suggested that the feelings and sightings may have been her alter ego, but he said their were cold spots in the house, and he could only feel this presence in certain places in the house. He took the fireplace out in the room that he could feel the presence and the following morning when he came downstairs, all of the furniture had been moved. There must be a spirit in the house, but it must just be coincidental that it looks like an old version if his girlfriend. He tried to re decorate the whole house, but it made no difference to the "dark" parts of the house.

Well, that could be possible if in the future someone would invent a time machine where spirits are only capable to go right through. It might happen you know, but if it will really will, someone should have experienced it especially from the past too.

Maybe he noticed a familial resemblance and that is all, ... and it is either a future recog as Amp suggested, .. or possibly a relo from way back with similar gentetic traits?

Being spooked is most likley just your brothers reaction, and that in itself - a feeling thrown out from an individual - can in itself create atmosphere just as Amp has said.

The furiture being moved is a significance here and that's not recognition! as for being able to see yourself or someone else in the future yes you can, it's just another avenue of paranormal.

Opps, I had over looked the post about the furniture moving, ... so on that topic. Yes spirit can move furniture (usually in controlled conditions), but so can our own energy. I've seen it numerous times under both conditions and the difference in atmosphere/ feeling accompanying it correlates directly with me initially having no knowledge and freaking out, and me now understanding it and thinking it is awesome. Point being, the action/activity never changed, just the perception that knowledge has given me - eg: it is not spooky feeling unless you think it is spooky, so maybe your brother should do a bit of study about it if it continues. That is, if he isn't pulling ya leg

You could say anything is possible. But the short answer is no.

As a comment on how I see time, the future is not set and does not exist. Nor the past for that matter.

Time will not permit a valid event like the one above. The only way for it to exist is if it is not the future but only what someone wants the future to be. Come that future moment, it can only happen if it is made to happen by your present acts.

You are capable of an existence that can encompass all time, and so the idea that time is set and that there exists a time line -even fate- is not hard for people grasp if they try. But this universe was built with only one time, now. You must confine yourself to a singular existence where your actions here and now make a difference. And your future is formed from actions done here and "now". In each passing moment, time has a contract with you, it states that none may write your future outside of the moment that is "now". Not even God may alter this contract.

Venture into this subject too far and you will start to feel stressed. The stress comes form the stain on you that is part of your persistence in this singular moment of time. A similar sensation also occurs when you start to feel impatient. Patience is in fact not a virtue, but a curse you must learn to live with.

I don't imagine many people will understand what I am talking about. But I see no harm in posting my understanding of time.
