ANIMAL ASTROLOGY IN THE UK
 There has been a surge of interest in all things paranormal in the UK since the TV rules have been changed that previously restricted broadcasting of this type of material. The British are a nation of pet lovers, so it is perhaps not surprising that may people believe that they are connected with them in a spiritual way.
I work as a medium – someone who uses their spiritual powers (siddhis) to provide communications between the two worlds. I prove to people that the spirit survives death by telling them things that only they and their loved one in the next world know about. Sometimes during these communications, information is given to suggest that the spirit of the pets we love also survive death.
RESURGENCE OF INTEREST IN ANIMAL ASTROLOGY
 Linked in with all this interest is also a resurgence in astrology. More people than ever are interested in discovering what forces guide their destiny, the destiny of their family and friends, and the destiny of their pets. Most people do not know the exact time of their pet’s birth so it is not easy work out exact horoscopes. However even basic Sun sign astrology can be useful. He had two cats – Yin and Yang. They were born fairly closely together by different mothers but it was interesting to note that their planets and moon positions suggested great harmony between then. This proved to be the case.

ANIMAL ASTROLOGY COMES OF AGE
I have not conducted detailed research into pet and animal astrology but I certainly believe that if the stars can influence the lives of humans it can also influence the lives of animals. In fact, I would suggest that an animal’s life is even more influenced by the stars than our own. Humans have a power that animals do not have to such an extent: we have free will a power that enables us to become the masters of our destiny.
The great Hindu guru Yogananda put it well when he explained: “Superstitious awe of astrology makes one an automaton, slavishly dependent on mechanical guidance. The wise man defeats his planets-which is to say, his past-by transferring his allegiance from the creation to the Creator. The more he realizes his unity with Spirit, the less he can be dominated by matter. The soul is ever-free; it is deathless because birthless. It cannot be regimented by stars.”
Animal astrology is fun to investigate but also reminds us how luck we are to have taken human birth.
