Using the Intuition
Cards
HOW
TO USE THE CARDS
Printed above are examples
of the Intuition Cards. They are a specially designed
symmetrical ink blots. You will soon look at this
to see if you can see any pictures in it and them
look up the meaning on the symbols list from the index
to this section.
Click on one of the links above
then do the following as shown below.
First it's important to get
yourself into the right frame of mind:
1. Close your eyes and relax for a few moments.
2. Quieten the breath.
3. Let the imagination become active. Allow your
thoughts to wander and try to notice any pictures
and images that arise in your mind's eye.
Once you've relaxed and allowed the subconscious
to activate look at the ink blot. You are likely to
see more pictures if you do the following:
1. Don't try to hard. Let the mind drift and
allow the pictures to form spontaneously.
2. Look at the shapes made by the ink but also observe
the negative shapes made by the white paper.
3. Turn the page upside-down or sideways and see
what other shapes are formed.
4. Look also at the images you see in the smallest
details of the ink blot.
5. It may help to gaze at the page and watch what
appears as your eyes go out of focus.
6. Finally make a note of the pictures you see.
INTERPRETING
YOUR INTUITIVE RESPONSE
Just as you saw pictures in
clouds when you were a child so you should have easily
seen pictures appear in this ink blot. Now comes the
job of understanding what they say about you. The
knack is to treat the images in the same way as you
would interpret the images of a dream. For example
you are likely to have see a face of some kind. It's
just like when you were a child and may have seen
faces appear in a pile of clothes or toys in the semi-darkness
of your bedroom. A face is the most common image that
the mind will make from a random shape.
What was the face like? Was
it happy, sad, fearsome, confused or maybe it looked
angry? Think about what the face says about your present
state of mind. Perhaps if you see an angry face then
you may harbour deep set feelings of resentment?
In the same way consider every
image you see and ask yourself what it says about
you. Supposing you see an anchor. An anchor stops
a ship drifting with the tide; we call people who
support us an anchor; if our life feels like it is
drifting aimlessly we need an anchor to hold us steady,
such as a partner, a job, a home. It's clearly a symbol
of stability, although of course it could say that
you may want you travel by sea.
Animals are a likely image
you may see in the shapes. Again ask yourself what
they symbolise about you. A dog, for example, may
represent an actual dog as well as those qualities
of friendship, domesticity and loyalty. A ferocious
dog could symbolise your fears or uncontrolled instincts.
Interpret each image as a metaphor for your life.
Printed opposite is a check-list
of the meanings of likely pictures you may see. They
are only a rough guide. It is most important to interpret
the images in your own way to understand the personal
messages given by your subconscious.
