The Psychic Experiences of
Tommy Steele
Tommy Steele, the famous
star of stage and screen, was convinced of the afterlife from a young
age. As a young boy he was taken ill and admitted to hospital. Around
midnight, a boy came into the ward and threw a blue ball at him which
the young Tommy threw back. When Tommy's mother heard the story she asked
the doctor if they had another boy in the hospital with a little blue
ball.
Tommy Steele
"No," the doctor replied,
but we had a small boy with a blue ball who died here two years ago."
Years later, Tommy Steele was taken seriously ill with spinal meningitis.
As he lay in hospital, close to death, he heard a child's laughter. A
brightly coloured ball bounced over the screen and landed just inches
from his fingers. It took a strenuous effort, but Tommy managed to throw
the ball back. The game continued until Tommy was able to get out of bed
to retrieve the ball.
The doctors couldn't believe how
Tommy Steele had made such a remarkable recovery. "Give that little
boy the credit," said Tommy, pointing to the bed behind the other
side of the screen. The screens were taken away. revealing only sick
men in the ward.
Tommy's parents asked what kind of
ball it was. "Red with green and white stripes," replied Tommy.
"It must have been Rodney," said his father. Rodney, Tommy's
brother, had died a few years before, aged three. His favourite toy
had been a red rubber ball with green and white stripes that Tommy had
given him on his last Christmas.
