Some people's spirits are capable of leaving their body during sleep and travelling all over the world through the spiritual dimension known as the 'Astral Plane'. The Tibetan monks practised this technique which was popularised by the writer Lobsang Rampa who made the somewhat dubious claim that he wasn't really a plumber but had swapped bodies with a Tibetan monk.
