OUR HAUNTED HOLIDAY

Our hotel suite at Bembridge on the Isle of Wight was rather big with two extra beds in the room. During the night I saw a ghostly figure walk through the door, stop by my bed, and then disappear through the wall. I was half asleep and felt no fear yet my experience was so real that I shall never forget it. The 'ghost' seemed to have a sense of humour and joked about the extra beds in the room.

My husband and I laughed about the experience the next morning as we ate our breakfast. Then the head waiter interrupted us saying that there was an important call for me at reception from my daughter. She had some bad news. Last night my husband's sister had died.

It must be Murphy's Law that weddings, birthdays, Christmas and holidays are the times to receive bad news. However your sister-in-law tried not to spoil your fun. She let you know that she was happy even before you heard that she was 'dead'.

MY TIME HAD COME

In 1987 I had a epileptic seizure and as a result had to be kept alive on a life support machine in hospital. I have often read about people having an 'out of body experience' and walking down a tunnel of light with a figure waiting for them with outstretched arms. But my experience was not so spectacular.

I found myself standing at the foot of the hospital bed looking at myself and saying 'Well lad; this is what you've always been afraid of, but don't worry, just relax, let yourself go and you'll wake up in a wonderful World of Peace and Happiness.'

I could actually feel myself obeying when another voice intervened telling me that I still had obligations to fulfil. Then I became aware of being back in the body and heard a voice saying 'Thank God! He's beginning to show some signs at last.'

Since that time I have revised my attitude to Death.

You nearly died and lived to tell the tale. If you had been permitted to continue with your experience I expect that you would have seen the tunnel of light and spirit people. Reports like yours, in my opinion, prove that life continues beyond the grave even though you only experienced the initial stages of dying.

DAD'S SPIRIT SAYS IT WITH FLOWERS

My eighty two year old father was very when my mother and I were summoned to the hospital. sadly, we arrived fifteen minutes after Dad had passed. We sat with him for half an hour and were very conscious of the strong aroma of flowers in his room.

At my mother's house that evening, after the last visitor had left, the lounge filled with the same potent smell of flowers.

As I was staying at the house that night, I went upstairs to make up a bed. When I returned to the lounge, my mother told me that the whole room had filled with a mist which was so thick that she could not see the wall on the opposite side of the room. As the mist gradually faded, the aroma disappeared too.

A few days later, we discovered that the scent had been of wallflowers, my father's favourite flowers.....

We mediums call this manifestation of scent a 'psychic breeze'. Many people report smelling a familiar scent to that helps prove to them that their loved one is close. The thick fog is also commonly reported but rarely as dense as your mother describes. I have seen this myself when I was investigating a haunted house with a sceptical psychiatrist. When she saw the fog materialise she nearly died of fright!

MY BED IS HAUNTED

Some years ago I bought a second-hand double bed from a public house. Since the day I bought it I have had strange feelings when I sleep in it. Sometimes I feel as if a phantom child or dog jumps up onto it as I lay there. And at times it feels as if a person is cuddling me so tight that I cannot move. Do you think that the bed could be haunted by someone or something?

I doubt that a spirit is haunting the bed. Many people believe that ghosts and phantoms are memories psychically embedded in the environment that we can replay through our ESP. You are sensitive to the vibrations of the people that used the bed in the past and are replaying their memories. You are not in any danger.
